Everything is going great and we will be going home tomorrow. Heidi saw her pediatrician this morning and she everything looks great. Also we had a family picture taken today for everyone’s enjoyment and thank you for everyone’s congratulations, support, and encouragement.

The Baby Shower and Moving Day

Hi everyone!

So it is moving day. We are just sitting here watching the guys from the moving company pack up the house. It is really nice not to have to do any thing other than sit here after 3 days of cleaning and organizing so they could come in and do the packing.

This last week has been pretty good. I had my baby shower on Satuday, thanks so much to Amanda Miller and Kimber Magness who planned and took care of everything. And thanks to Tracy Nunn for making the really cute cake!

It was a lot of fun even though I had to try and eat baby food and guess what it was, I got most of them close to being right so that made it fun, even though the turkey stuff was gross.

Other than that we are just getting ready for the big drive this weekend across the country. The horses and trailer are ready to go and my sister is here ready to help drive the car so we should be good to go.

Rocky Mountain NP

Well we have had a great weekend as Derek’s parents came for a visit. It is always great to have family come and to spend time with them. We were able to go up to Rocky Mountain National Park on saturday and take the drive up the Old Fall River Road. It was a great time seeing the great outdoors and all of the tundra and high alpine scenary. Plus my parents got a new digital camera so Nichole was having a blast trying it out and taking pictures, everybody will have to check out the pictures in the Gallery. We also went to dinner to Bonefish Grill down in Loveland and it was execellent and would recommend it highly if you ever get near one. The rest of the weekend was just relaxing and spending time with family, plus my Parent’s brought down our Christmas all wrapped up since we will not be going to their house for the Holiday. So now I have to stare at wrapped packages for 2 months and this could be a little brutal, oh well. Hope everyone is doing well and talk to you soon.

Panama City Beach

Hi-

We just got back from Panama City Beach. Derek had to go out to coordinate research with the Office of Naval Research, they are who sponsor his gradutate work. We decided to make it a family vacation as all it would cost was a plane ticket for Nichole as everything else was paid for by the school. We were able to stay in a condo right on the beach and really had a great time enjoying the climate, the beach, and swimming in the ocean. It was really the first vacation that we have had since we have been married. Plus during the visit they interviewed Derek for a job at the base as a civilian researcher in the lab. The interview went really well and Derek really likes the lab and the people who will work there. So we might be moving to florida next summer sometime to start the job. We will keep everyone posted. Also we took a lot of pictures while were down there so have a look in the gallery, it really is a beautiful place. Hope everyone is doing well.

Snowshoeing

Hey everyone, Just figured I should type a quick update just to let you all know what is going on with us. First of all Derek took the boy scouts snowshoeing up to Zimmerman lake which is near Cameron pass. Derek had a great time and took some awesome pictures of the snow. He had a great time other than being a little cold. So since he had such a fun time with the boys he decided that we should go. So we went up Montgomery Pass, which we found out was very popular with the back country skiing crowd. We took the dog and had alot of fun, I am just tired and a little sore since I was not used to working that hard. Other than that Derek has been busy with school and work. He is getting ready to go to his confrence in Florida to present his work, so he gets to go for a few days over spring break. I have been busy with work and with the horses. They are growing again and getting ready to put the saddle and bridle on them. They are getting really responsive to bending and flexing at the pole and are getting accepting of weight on their backs. It will be fun in the spring when they are ready for the riding. We hope you all are doing well and will talk to you later. Snowmobiling

Hi everyone,We just got back from snowmobiling with Jim and Patty and it was so much fun. We went up to Black Rock which is near Togwotee. That is about 40 min from Jackson so it was not very far. Since It was my first time I went really pretty slow, but fell one time since I forgot to make a turn and landed in some powder. We made it up to the lodge and had lunch and went back home a little longer way so Jim and Derek could play in some powder. After that I was doing fine and I even blazed a little trail when we stopped near a flat part of the trail. There are plenty of shots of the boys and a few of me too, though I don’t know if you can tell since we are all in so much stuff to stay warm. There are some new pictures with us riding and a few of the mountains from when we stopped and from the car ride home.
