Hi everyone!
Well it is my turn to do the next update. Things are going well here we are just doing the back to school thing. Derek started his graduate school work so he is in 2 classes and working for his professor. So this means he is very busy even though it is only the second week of school.
He is also busy with the scouts they just finished a weekend backpacking trip in the Zirkel wilderness where they went about 18 miles in 3 days and up 4 thousand feet in elevation.
I have been pretty busy with work lately since the updated the computers which meant a few days where we really couldn’t work. The horses have been doing pretty well we are working with saddle pads and getting them to work on the lunge line to prepare them for the baby saddle and to start doing some ground driving, which means I will be teaching them to move around the round pen while I hold long reins behind them. Just more things to do to make sure that I don’t get bucked off when we finally get on them in a few months.
For Labor day we went up to Burley ID to spend time with Derek’s family, the Caresia’s where we got to celebrate Grandpa’s 80th Birthday a little early. It was really fun to get to spend time with the whole family and we enjoyed lots of food, fun and conversation. Summit spent the weekend with Kimber and she went camping Friday night and then spent the rest of the weekend at her house playing with her roommates dog Ziggy. She was so tired when we got home that she slept all night and all say to today
Coyote is doing well just playing imaginary bugs and chasing the paper balls around from my work. She is still a little chubby so we are trying together weight down before her next vet visit. Other than that there is not much going on just working hard. We hope all of you are doing well and we hope to hear from you soon.
Love
Derek & Nichole
